Understanding Printing Options and Variables

Colour or Black and White?
Colour is generally more expensive than black and white, though in some cases our price is the same.
They are denoted throughout this site as:
Colour - Col or CMYK (which is the printing process used to produce full colour prints)
Black and White - B&W or B+W

gsm - Grams per Square Meter
This denotes the weight of the paper. As a comparison:

80 gsm : the weight of your standard copier/printer paper.

80-130 gsm : are thin paper, typically used for letterbox distribution and high turnover promotional material, like flyers. Note that any paper less than 140 gsm will show through printing on the other side.

130-150 gsm : are ideal for flyers and brochures, especialy folder items and items were "show through" is not desirable.

200+ gsm : is reasonably thick, high quality paper, that is not recommended for folding items.

300 gsm : is a thick card stock used for business cards

Artwork
To recieve the discounts quoted within this website for "artwork provision" you must have 'finished' artwork for your job.
You will be asked to upload this during the ordering process.

Even if you need us to design your artwork for you, you will also be provided the option of uploading images that you want us to incorporate within a design we make for you (you company logo for example)

If you can, please do supply artwork in PDF format. If you are unable to supply this format don't panic! Please supply you art in your own format and we will convert it for you (no charge).

Binding Options
Saddle Stitched : is where two or more sheets of paper are bound together in the spine with two staples, folded in half. This method of binding is not viable for over 60 page booklets as they are too thick to satisfactorily saddle stitch, often bulging at the spine.

Wire Binding : Also known as "Wiro Binding" this is where the spine of your booklet is hole punched and then has wire threaded through the holes to bind it, forming a coil at the spine. This is great for large documents.

Perfect Binding : With this binding merthod the spine is glued and ends with a flat edge. Most large comercial books are perfect bound.

Stapled : Some people require custom staple posisioning (such as at the top, rather than side. We can cater to all your needs.
